Artist & Graphic Designer
Emma is a multi-disciplinary queer artist and graphic designer based in Lancashire with a studio at Prism Contemporary in Blackburn. Her practice explores the use of colour and composition to create vibrant abstract work primarily through printmaking, painting and mural painting.
Emma is interested in creating immersive experiences through large scale pieces and believes colour to be a powerful tool of expression often depicting personal experiences and interests in her work.
Working a lot with print, collage, paint and digital graphics Emma works with abstract patterns, blocks of colour and often typography to create a style which is present throughout her practice.
Emma is also the co-founder of 'girls girls girls', a feminist based artist duo and curatorial practice who create work around the themes of mental health, self-love and gender.
